Muestras de contenido estomacal realizadas principalmente en Iquique y Montemar, Chile; demuestran la variada alimentación de este anfibio, incluyendo especies en tres divisiones de algas (Chlorophyta, Rhodophyta y Phaeophyta) y en tres filos de animales (Mollusca, Arthropoda y Echinodermata).
